Popcorn Our Way

We love popcorn! And I don’t mean Jiffy Pop, Orville Redenbacher, Act II or any of those microwavable brands. We like to make our own popcorn on the stove which isn’t common just because it takes slightly more time then just throwing a bag in the microwave for a few minutes.

We have a Whirley Pop and we absolutely LOVE it. The process is quite simple. We put a little bit of coconut oil in the Whirley Pop on medium to medium high heat, let it melt and then add in the amount of popcorn kernels that we want. Make sure you have enough coconut oil to coat the amount of kernels that you put in! Next, we spin the handle on the side until the popcorn is popped.

Once it is ready, we pour it into a bowl and then melt a little bit of Kerrygold Butter. We pour it onto the popcorn and then sprinkle some Slap Ya Mama cajun seasoning and Jane’s Krazy Mixed-Up Salt. Stir it all up and enjoy! This is the best popcorn ever! 🙂
