Homemade Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts are sure to change your breakfast routine. While they of course take more preparation and time than store bought pop tarts, these are tastier, and I suppose you could say healthier.
Anything homemade is healthy, right?!

I can not get enough of how insanely delicious these pop tarts are!! I will admit that I have never been a huge pop tart fan – but my view has drastically changed ever since making my own. Yummmmmmy!
Ingredients for Pasty:
2 1/2 cup flour
1 1/4 tsp salt
6 tbsp unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
3/4 vegetable shortening, chilled (you can replace with butter)
1/2 cup ice water
Ingredients for Filling:
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp flour
2 tsp milk
Ingredients for Glaze:
3/4 cup confectionary sugar
1 tbsp mik
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
